HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASS?
My ride is a classic spinning experience. I enjoy taking the basic spinning principles and pushing my riders to conquer their ride. My goal is to a provide safe and effective training environment for all fitness levels. I keep my rides simple, yet challenging and flexible to meet the varying fitness levels in my class.
WHY DO YOU RIDE?
My love for spinning developed while training for triathlons during the cold and brutal Midwest winters. I was looking for a way to recreate a road cycling training ride and spinning did just that! I absolutely love the energy of a hype spin class. It is so contagious. The camaraderie among riders, the music and the sweat session had me hooked from day ONE!
WHAT DO YOU FOCUS ON IN YOUR CLASS?
My goal is to create a training session that would bring an outdoor cycling experience inside the studio! We try to focus on visualizing what lies ahead, whether that is a huge climb or a sprint to the finish line. I also focus on providing modifications to accommodate the different fitness levels of my riders. We push the limits, sweat and smile.
I've obtained a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science, Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education. Ive participated in numerous Olympic distance triathlons and triathlon coaching with Team in Training. My real passion is teaching middle school Physical Education so I can help all of my students develop healthy, life long habits and physical literacy.
