HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASS?
My classes are crafted to challenge riders both physically and mentally. Each ride has a specific focus or purpose and provides the intensity that I crave from my own workouts. I choreograph each ride to the rhythm and speed of the music, with a fun mix of hip hop and pop.
WHY DO YOU RIDE?
I ride because it is the one guaranteed part of my day that is meant for me. No distractions and no wandering thoughts. Just me. Just determination, motivation and hard earned sweat.
I ride because spinning is one of the few workouts that provides a mind-body connection. Spinning quickly became a staple in my fitness repertoire because of the meditative component. Without any moves or steps to learn, I can get in the zone and feel the flow during my ride. It relieves stress like no other.
I ride for the community. My riders have become such an inspiration for me! AND there is nothing more energizing than being around a group of people who are giving 110%. It's contagious and you will leave feeling alive.
WHAT DO YOU FOCUS ON IN YOUR CLASS?
I like to have a lot of variety from ride to ride. From cadence rides, intervals, climbs, sprints, and beats... to giving my riders the experience of an outdoor ride, inside the doors of the studio.
I have been a runner since high school, but I discovered my love for teaching group exercise 15 years ago. I have taught a variety of classes from yoga to kickboxing, but spinning is my jam! I became a certified Mad Dogg spin instructor in 2005 and never looked back.
