HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASS? 

My class is a variety of traditional spin moves, but promises a challenge. We will sprint, jump, and oh yes, we will climb that proverbial mountain! But, we will do it together, and use up beat/motivating music to help us get there. My playlists include a mix of pop, hip hop, and rock from various artists and decades. Yes, there is even some occasional country too.

WHY DO YOU RIDE? 

Oh, that’s easy, because it is FUN! I like a workout that puts my focus elsewhere and makes me forget I am exercising. Spinning does exactly that! For 45 minutes, I’m lost in good tunes and not constantly looking at the timer to see how much longer I must endure running to nowhere (ya, I’m talking about you dreaded treadmill in the corner of my basement). I like being pushed to my limits so when I hear “can you give me another turn on that dial?” my answer is ABSOLUTELY.

WHAT DO YOU FOCUS ON IN YOUR CLASS?

My rides tend to focus on strength and endurance. Not only will we improve on these physically, we will also train mentally. At some point, you will think my legs are tired, but I will encourage you to dig deep and keep going. This is a mantra we can all use in our daily lives. We will work on form and technique, and definitely breathing. Never forget to breathe! 

MY BACKGROUND

I have a BS in Business Administration from SIUE. In younger years, I participated in cheerleading, volleyball, and gymnastics. After I started working full time, I realized how much I missed having sports in my life, and teaching spin has allowed me to be a part of something again!

I want to help you prove to yourself you CAN do this! Whether you are a fitness guru or you are stepping into the studio for the first time, it doesn’t matter as people of all shapes, sizes, young, and old exercise for their own personal reasons. I am here for you, and will help motivate you through a safe and effective ride. I am on my own journey to be a better and healthier version of myself so come join me and together we will work towards our goals!
